The SEC championship between Alabama and LSU features four guys who could end up being draft picks in the NBA, possibly for the Detroit Pistons.

The Pistons have two picks in the second round which they could end up using in a number of ways.

The recent trade for Hamidou Diallo shows that second-round picks do have some value, though some Pistons’ fans get a little too excited and upset when the Pistons give them away.

Second-round draft picks are the easiest to come by asset in the NBA, so let’s not worry too much about attaching picks that aren’t even in high school yet.

The Detroit Pistons could end up using these picks are sweeteners in another trade but if they do use them, there are four guys in this Alabama vs. LSU game who could be fits.

We normally think of these two schools as powerhouses in football, but both have produced some interesting basketball prospects of late and could have a few more on the way.

Detroit Pistons: What to watch in LSU vs. Alabama

None of the four NBA prospects in this game are likely to go in the lottery but all are projected to be taken at some point in the first two rounds.

The Pistons have the picks of Toronto and Charlotte, which are currently #41 and 47 respectively, but both could be much higher by the end of the season if those two teams don’t have strong second halves.

The Pistons could shoot for upside talent with these picks or go for guys who they think can play and contribute right away. Some of the players in this game fall into the second category, as they are a bit older.
