Detroit Pistons: Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart are thriving

The Detroit Pistons have the makings of something special with Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart, who are both looking like steals from the 2020 NBA Draft, especially given that they were taken outside of the lottery.

Stewart has added some range to his game and hit another 3-pointer last night. He is now shooting 50 percent from long range for the season, albeit on a low number of attempts. But if he can keep hitting this shot, the ceiling for what he can be is raised considerably.

He has been showing some nice passing touch as well and is already one of the best rookie defenders and rebounders. He looks like a younger Bam Adebayo right now and could end up being a star.

Saddiq Bey dropped a “quiet” 20 points after his big night against the Raptors. He didn’t shoot the ball particularly well but the fact that he still got 20 points shows this guy can get it done in a number of ways, not just from behind the 3-point line, where he is making history.

If Killian Hayes comes back and plays well, the Detroit Pistons will have gotten the future of their team from one draft, well done, Troy Weaver.
