Detroit Pistons: Mock Draft 2.0 pick No. 7

Forward. Jalen Johnson. 156. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Duke / Cleveland Cavaliers. 7. player

Cleveland dropped a spot in this simulation, though they are another team that will likely be even worse after the trade deadline, so expect them to start losing.

They have a good duo of guards but need help just about everywhere else, especially if they lose Jarrett Allen in free agency.

Johnson would give them another solid defensive player to put with Isaac Okoro, who is already very good on that end.

He also projects as a guy who will eventually hit the NBA 3-pointer, so the Cavs can start over, building around Johnson, their young guards and Okoro.

Cleveland is another team that needs help all over and could be very active on draft day, either moving up if they fall in the draft like this, or moving down to get multiple picks if they land in the top-2.

Johnson should be a solid 3-and-D wing though his ceiling isn’t as high as some others in the top-ten.
