Detroit Pistons: Killian Hayes or Saben Lee in the starting lineup

I’ve written about the starting lineup I’d love to see the Detroit Pistons use at some point before this season is over, but so far have been ignored.

It’s almost as if Dwane Casey is not reading my articles for coaching tips! How dare he?!?

Seriously though, with Dennis Smith Jr. out with an injury, could we please see one of Killian Hayes or Saben Lee in the starting five?

Cory Joseph has played pretty well since joining the Pistons but he is very unlikely to be on the team next season since the Pistons would have to pick up all of his $12 million salary, so what is the point of giving him most of the minutes?

I get that Casey has to go through the motions and pretend that he is coaching to win these games but enough is enough already.

This is a rebuilding and developmental season, so there is no point in continuing to run Joseph out there for 30 minutes a night when he is not part of the rebuild and doesn’t need the developmental minutes.

Can we please just get a steady dose of Hayes and Lee from here on out? It’s not only important for their development but it the Pistons need to see what they have in Lee and if he is a guy they want to sign for next season.

Can the two play together effectively? There are a lot of questions that can only be answered by playing the two young point guards, so I’d love to see them both get 25 minutes tonight against the Clippers.
