The Detroit Pistons got two of the best rookies from the 2020 NBA Draft in Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart.

Even more impressive is that both were chosen outside of the lottery, so Pistons’ fans should be excited about Troy Weaver and what he can build in Detroit.

Add Killian Hayes into the mix and the Pistons have three of the most promising rookies this season.

Bey is on the verge of making rookie history from the 3-point line, while Stewart is leading all rookies in rebounds, blocked shots and field goal percentage.

Things are about to get exciting in the Motor City and the national media is starting to take notice.

Two of the Pistons’ three rookies were featured in the most recent addition of the KIA Rookie Ladder, which also linked to one of my articles and referred to me as a “Pistons’ insider,” so this was a big one for all of us!

But where did Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart rank? Let’s take a look.

Detroit Pistons: Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart on the KIA Rookie Ladder

Saddiq Bey has been on the KIA Rookie Ladder for most of the season, vacillating between #4 and #6 but never getting any higher.

He stayed at #4 this week even though he averaged 19 points to lead all rookies since last week’s rankings.

Isaiah Stewart fell off the list for two weeks but made his return at #9 and will probably climb even more next week after back-to-back monster games.

Stewart has averaged 10.2 points, nine rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game over his last ten and is playing like a guy who deserves to be on the All-Rookie team.

Killian Hayes has Pistons’ fans excited since his return and when you factor in second-round pick Saben Lee, it’s hard to call the Pistons’ last draft anything short of amazing.

Troy Weaver is starting to build something special in Detroit and if they can add another top-five pick to this group, should have one of the best young teams in the Eastern Conference very soon.
