Detroit Pistons: Isaiah Stewart putting up huge numbers

No one has been filling the stat sheet more than Isaiah Stewart lately, as the rookie has put together three outstanding games in a row.

After putting up 15 points, 21 rebounds and two blocks against the Thunder, Stewart dropped 19/12/2 on the Wizards before last night’s 18/16/3 against the Cavaliers in which he also had three steals.

Are we sure this guy is a rookie?

Stewart has been on a tear on both ends, showcasing a polished post game, a non-stop motor and even occasional range on his jump shot.

Troy Weaver clearly has a vision to build around elite defense and Stewart can provide it all over the floor, as he can defend 1-5 without missing a beat, making him the perfect defensive center for the modern game.

People have often compared him to Ben Wallace, mostly because of his defense, and while he may never get to the level of Big Ben on that end, Stewart has a much higher ceiling at the other, playing more like Bam Adebayo or Horace Grant than Ben Wallace.

This run from the Pistons’ rookies has been thrilling to watch even if it has come against some of the bottom feeders of the NBA.

Detroit has something special brewing and if they can add another top-five pick to this team, this team is going to be good very soon.
