The Grizzlies could use a gritty defender to pair with Ja Morant and Mitchell is one of the best guard defenders in this draft.
He fits the profile of the type of player the Grizzlies like and would be a nice counterpart to some of the pieces they already have.
Memphis has built their team around defense and they already have a top-ten defense this season, so adding another guy like Mitchell makes sense.
But Mitchell would also improve their 3-point shooting off the bench, as he can knock them down. I love this pairing and think Mitchell and Morant would be great together, as they offer differing skillsets that complement one another nicely.
