Detroit Pistons: Hamidou Diallo blows up

Hamidou Diallo has gotten two starts in a row, which is something fans have been hoping to see since the Pistons acquired him.

Diallo has been in and out of the rotation due to nagging injuries, so we haven’t really gotten to see him unleashed.

But he’s made the most of his extended minutes the last two games, scoring 16 against the Magic before blowing up for 35 points and seven rebounds against the Hornets.

Diallo played a team-high 40 minutes, so it appears that whatever injury was bothering him is gone.

He knocked down 50 percent of his 3-point shots, hit 14-of-22 overall and really only struggled from the free-throw line where he hit just 3-of-6.

Diallo had been struggling prior to this and some were starting to wonder if he would be a part of the Pistons’ future, but he’s roared back the last few games, reminding us why were were so excited about his potential when the Pistons traded for him.

I was hoping Diallo would go into the offseason on a high note, as he is the type of lengthy, active defender the Detroit Pistons are building around.
