Detroit Pistons: Who has a higher ceiling, Saddiq Bey or Isaiah Stewart?

Detroit Pistons: The Verdict
Both Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart have shown higher ceilings for the Detroit Pistons than anyone could have expected. Immediately following draft day, I would have told you Killian Hayes has the highest potential in the Pistons’ class, but now it looks like he might be third.
Having to argue about the ceilings of your breakout rookies is territory that Pistons fans are not familiar with. Gracefully rebuilding is something we haven’t experienced either.
If I had to pick either Saddiq Bey or Isaiah Stewart, I would settle on Bey having the higher ceiling.
Bey’s shooting is already elite and just a couple additions to his offensive game could turn him into a fringe All-Star. Although Stewart’s versatilely is intriguing, it’s tough to see a world where he averages over 20 points per game.
However, if Stewart continues to find ways to dominate basketball games other than scoring this argument could flip. If Beef Stew enters elite defensive territory and improves even more offensively, he could be an All-Star someday, depending on how successful the Pistons are.
The way I see it, there are less “if’s” with Saddiq Bey. There is a world where both Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart become All-Stars, but I’ll take my chances with Bey.
With the current state of the NBA, elite shooting and perimeter play translates to winning. I mean, just look at the last two decades of champions.
No matter how it turns out, there is a chance Bey, Stewart, and even Hayes could be starters on a contending Detroit Pistons team one day. Boy, does it feel good to be rebuilding the right way.
