Detroit Pistons: Deividas Sirvydis finally getting some run

Deividas Sirvydis finally got some extended run in the blowout and made the most of it, scoring eight points and grabbing six boards in 24 minutes, his longest outing of the season.

He nailed two of his four 3-point shots and looked a lot more comfortable than I expected for a raw player who has barely stepped on the court this season.

I’m hoping to see more of him in these final four games, as he has a skillset the Pistons could desperately use.

Detroit is in the bottom third of the league when it comes to 3-point shooting and Sirvydis projects as a guy who can hit them.

He also has good size for the shooting guard position, though there are some question marks about who he is going to defend in the NBA.

After trading Svi Mykhailiuk the Pistons are short on shooters whose names are hard to spell, so they will either need to draft one with one of their second-round picks or hope that Sirvydis has a big offseason.

Hopefully he can make some strides and then get some time in the G-League next season, as the Pistons need scorers and this kid should be able to score at some point.
