Detroit Pistons: Sixth Man of the Year- Josh Jackson

This award came down to Josh Jackson vs Frank Jackson. Josh Jackson edged out the award due to his impact on the defensive end of the court while also being serviceable on the offensive end.

Frank Jackson has been a consistent shooter off the bench in his 40 games played for the Pistons this season. At 40.7 percent shooting from three-point range, Jackson is second-best on the team among players with two or more three-point attempts per game. Making the shift to an off-ball shooter has helped Jackson’s career trajectory moving forward.

Josh Jackson has also salvaged his career in Detroit. The former fourth overall pick from the 2017 draft only played in 22 games in the season prior to signing with Detroit. Jackson has scored 13.3 points per game this season, good for second-most on the team. Jackson averages 25 minutes per game coming off the bench for the Pistons.

Efficiency has remained a struggle for Jackson this season. He is shooting 30.9% on over four three-pointers a game. He has been more efficient attacking the basket and shooting within the three-point arc as he is making 48.6% of his two-point attempts.
