Detroit Pistons: Free agent Nerlens Noel from the New York Knicks

As I said before, the Pistons could use a rim protector and Nerlens Noel has long been one of the best in the NBA. The Detroit Pistons are trying to make the leap into the playoff discussion next season and since Noel helped get the Knicks there, why not work his magic in Detroit?

After another solid season, Noel is probably due a raise from his $5 million bargain contract from this season, but probably not a huge one. If the Pistons could jettison Okafor and replace him with Noel, that would be a HUGE upgrade defensively.

It’s not likely to happen, as I think the Knicks will probably do what they can to keep him, but Noel would be a nice fit in Detroit.

Detroit Pistons: Milwaukee Bucks’ free agent Jeff Teague

If the Pistons were looking for a low-cost veteran to provide some 3-point shooting off the bench then Jeff Teague might draw some interest if Detroit doesn’t re-sign Wayne Ellington.

Teague is 32-years-old but has shot the 3-ball well in limited minutes this season. He is not going to be an impact free agent for anyone but if the Pistons were looking for a veteran for the end of the bench, he could be an option on a minimum deal.
