Detroit Pistons: Could Detroit bring back Bruce Brown from the Brooklyn Nets?

I know there are a lot of Pistons’ fans who thought Troy Weaver’s only bad move of the offseason was to send Bruce Brown out in a 3-team trade.

This is the trade that brought back Saddiq Bey, so I’m pretty sure the Pistons did the right thing, but unlike Luke Kennard, Brown is a guy who fits Troy Weaver’s vision.

Brown has played well for the Nets, and it’s likely that his ideal role is to be a defensive role player on a good team, so if the Pistons were definitely going to be good, then there might be some interest in bringing the fan-favorite back.

But the Pistons are still a year or two away from really competing, so Brown doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But wouldn’t you have loved to watch him with this team this season?

Detroit Pistons: 76ers free agent Furkan Korkmaz

Furkan Korkmaz is an interesting player from Philly who might draw interest from a number of teams.

He is a 6-foot-7 shooting guard, so would give the Detroit Pistons some size there to go along with Josh Jackson. Unlike Jackson though, Korkmaz can shoot and hit 37.5 percent of his long-range shots this season.

He is only 23-years-old, so there is probably another level there and Korkmaz could end up becoming a really good 3-point shooter in the future.

Would the Pistons be willing take a risk that he will get there? Possibly. It really depends on the cost, as Korkmaz was on a minimum deal this season and will probably be due for a modest raise.

He is a guy who could blow up in an expanded role and could replace the 3-point shooting that the Pistons lost when they traded Svi Mykhailiuk.
