Why Michigan’s Chaundee Brown could fall to Detroit Pistons in second round

Chaundee Brown’s biggest knock will be a lack of on-ball skills. He is mainly a catch-and-shoot guy. This will manifest in questions about Brown’s ability to attack a closeout. Can he consistently drive to the hoop when defenses get overly aggressive at attacking his shot? There are instances over his four-year career where he shows this, but his instinct is to shoot the three.

His number one development assignment needs to be driving out of ‘spot up’ situations and getting to the rim. This would then collapse the defense to him, and get his teammates easy looks. Really this one skill will separate him from being just a shooter into becoming a valuable role player, in my opinion.
