Detroit Pistons: Trade for Brandon Clarke

The problem that the Detroit Pistons have when it comes to trading for Brandon Clarke is that they don’t really have a contract that matches up. Clarke is on a team-friendly deal that Memphis is unlikely to move unless they get a useful player or a first-round pick in return.

Would the Pistons give up a first rounder for Clarke? Doubtful, but they might give up a bunch of 2nd-rounders or a first if it is heavily protected.

Would this package be enough to tempt Memphis? It’s hard to say, as they might still view Clarke as part of the future even though they have a couple of similar players.

The Detroit Pistons might have to throw in a heavily protected first rounder that would convey somewhere way down the road.

The Pistons have the assets to tempt Memphis, but would they even want to do it?
