Continuing the breakdown of guys I would love for the  Detroit Pistons to take with one of their second round picks, I turn my attention to a big man today. Sandro Mamukelashvili is a power forward/center prospect out of Seton Hall. He is listed at 6-foot-11inches and 240 pounds.

Just to give you a little background info on the young man, he is Georgian, but was born in New York City. When he was a baby, his family moved back to Tbilisi in Georgia and lived there until Sandro turned 14. He then moved to Italy when he started high school and two years later moved to the United States to attend Monte Verde Academy where he played alongside current New York Knick RJ Barrett.

Detroit Pistons Draft picks: Sandro Mamukelashvili’s statistics

His stat line for this past season was:

17.5 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game, 1.1 steals per game, & 0.6 blocks per game

48.1 percent from two-point range, 33.6 percent from the three-point line, and 71.4 percent from the free throw line

52.5 percent True Shooting, 20.6 percent Assist Percentage, 16.5 percent Turnover rate, 28.8 percent Usage

Oh and before we go any further, here is a helpful video about how to pronounce his name for those who may be wondering.

Let’s take a look at some of his strengths and weaknesses, which players he compares to and how he might fit on the Detroit Pistons as a 2nd round draft pick.
