Pistons NBA Draft: Roko Prkacin is an international prospect to watch
The Detroit Pistons have three picks in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft and might look overseas for a prospect.
The Pistons aren’t going to have the roster spots for four more rookies, so they will likely either trade some of their second-round picks or use one or more of them on international players that they can stash overseas for a season or two.
Detroit still needs a big injection of talent, especially on the offensive end. While their defense was 10th in the NBA in points allowed, they were 27th in points scored, so it is clear where they need to focus.
The Pistons are hoping to draft an offensive star with their lottery pick, but could also use their second rounders to improve the offense.
They need shooters and there are a number of them that could fall to the second round, but any players who can create their own offense will get a look.
Detroit Pistons NBA Draft: Drafting for offense
Detroit has a lot of very good defensive players in Saddiq Bey, Jerami Grant, Isaiah Stewart, Josh Jackson and Hamidou Diallo, but none of those guys are considered great offensively.
Bey can shoot the 3-ball, and Jerami Grant has evolved into a number one or two option on a good team, but the Pistons still need shooting and scoring at just about every position.
Draft prospect Roko Prkacin projects as as guy who could help the Pistons’ offense in a number of ways.
Let’s take a look at his strengths and weaknesses and how he might eventually fit on the Detroit Pistons.
