Detroit Pistons: Cade Cunningham highlights show a player who wants the ball in his hands in crunch time

The final thing that puts Cade Cunningham a tier above the other prospects is that he wants the ball in his hands in crunch time and has shown the ability to hit the big shot.

Your best player can’t shy away from these moments, and Cunningham already has several game winning and go-ahead shots on his resume. He thinks this is his time to take over the game and I love that about him.

Here he is breaking down one of his crunch time buckets:

This goes back to his poise and how he tries to slow the game down and not get flustered in the big moments.

He takes his time on this play, gets to his spot and knocks it down like there isn’t anyone else in the gym. I’m not really sure how a defender would stop this, and his ability to get wherever he wants and knock it down make him a weapon late in close games.

If you watch these Cade Cunningham highlights it’s not hard to see the next NBA superstar, a guy who can do everything well and is going to be an instant fan-favorite in Detroit.
