After having a few days to calm down about the Detroit Pistons winning the lottery and the number one overall pick, It’s exciting to think about how the team will look at the beginning of next season. With a perfectly executed tank, the Pistons have set themselves up to accelerate the rebuild and put an impressively young and talented starting lineup on the court.

Detroit Pistons potential starting lineup: Point guard Killian Hayes

With a rookie season plagued by injuries, don’t forget the potential that many saw in the former #7 overall pick.

At only 19 years old, Killian has showed some serious promise in the short time he was able to be on the court. He’s a good sized point guard that proved he can use his size and speed to get to the basket and score.

He struggled with turnovers in his first season but that can be expected with a rookie point guard. By the end of the season, he did a good job of cutting down turnovers and making better passes.

I believe that in the next few seasons Killian will become the type of player regularly putting up 10+ points and 10+ assists a game. Because of that, he will be a valuable piece to this up and coming team..
