Jerami Grant will be the Detroit Pistons’ starting power forward

A lot of fans were upset when the Detroit Pistons gave Jerami Grant a big contract. It’s safe to say he’s proved them wrong.

Grant is coming off of the best year of his career and came close to winning Most Improved Player. He can score from anywhere on the court and has showed to be a good leader for our younger players.

After this past season, it’s hard to deny what Jeremi Grant can do for a basketball team. I find myself getting upset at some of the shots he takes, but then they go in. As long as the shots keep falling, by all means keep taking them.

At 27 years old he’s actually considered “old” on this team. However, 27 is far from old in the NBA and he will be an important part of what this team is building.

Perhaps the best part about Jerami Grant? He WANTS to be here. As a Detroit sports fan its not often a top player in the league is happy to be here, but I’m not complaining.

Isaiah Stewart is the wild card in the Detroit Pistons starting lineup

A fan favorite and “Second Team All-Rookie”, Stewart has embodied what the city wants out of the Detroit Pistons. He plays his heart out and gives us all the “Bad Boy” vibes we’ve been looking for.

Though undersized as a center, “Beef Stew” has proved to be a force in the paint. He led all rookies in blocks and rebounds per game.

Many have made the comparison to undersized center and former Piston Ben Wallace. As optimistic as that is, it’s hard to say you can’t see it. With all he accomplished this season, he’s only 20 years old and we can only expect him to get better.

Although Stewart is the fan choice to start, it’s possible that veteran Mason Plumlee will get the nod, at least early in the season.

This rebuild has been about bringing in players that will play hard and create a winning culture. Players like Isiah Stewart are what we need in order to accomplish that.
