Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 11

11. 170. Pick Analysis. Guard. Tennessee / Charlotte Hornets. Keon Johnson. Scouting Report. player

The Charlotte Hornets were one of the surprise teams of the NBA this season and will be looking to build around superstar rookie LaMelo Ball.

The Hornets would love to trade Terry Rozier’s expiring contract and are also looking to move on from Gordon Hayward and could try to do it with this pick, but if not, they will grab a player to bolster their guard depth around Ball.

Johnson would be a good choice, as he can defend, shoot the 3-pointer and run the floor, which is the type of player you want to put around a dynamic playmaker in Ball.

The Hornets are definitely a team to watch this offseason, as they have the ammo to make moves and are looking to make a leap as a team.
