Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 15

James Bouknight. 142. Pick Analysis. Guard. UCONN / Washington Wizards. 15. player. Scouting Report

The Wizards just keep adding young talent with James Bouknight, who could eventually be the replacement scorer for Bradley Beal.

Bouknight is an electric scorer who has impressed in the Chicago Combine and may end up moving into the lottery if things bounce right.

The Wizards would be ecstatic to get this guy here, and he would give them three young guards with varying skill sets to build around. They have the 3-and-D guard in Mitchell, the playmaking point guard in Giddey and the scorer in Bouknight to go along with all of that big man talent.

I don’t know if the Wizards will move on from Beal or not, but if they were going to, this is the draft to do it in, as they could get three quality guys and have one of the best young cores in the entire NBA moving forward with another big trade chip still sitting there in Westbrook.
