Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 20

Illinois / Atlanta Hawks. Ayo Dosunmu. 20. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Guard. 125

The Hawks are already good and have a number of talented guards who can score, so it makes sense to take a guy who profiles as a long and versatile defender who can make plays and run the floor.

Dosunmu is a guy who could end up being an elite perimeter defender and already rebounds well for his position. He was a point guard in college but he won’t be in the NBA, however, he is still a guy who can make plays from the perimeter, get into the lane and he is very good at finishing around the rim, which is something the Hawks don’t really have at the moment.

He is the type of versatile role player who won’t need to get stats to be effective and change games, so he makes sense on the Hawks.
