Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 21

The Knicks will need more scoring and Thomas is a guy who can flat-out score. He isn’t much of a defender or passer but he is a walking bucket who can score from all three levels.

He’s the type of player who would love playing at Madison Square Garden and I could see him having some huge games there as a Lou Williams type scorer off the Knicks’ bench.

He had a huge NCAA tournament, which helped his draft status, and he might not fit with Thibodeau’s hard-nosed coaching style, but you Thomas is a high-ceiling scorer with more potential than most of the guys remaining at this point in the draft.

He’s a polarizing prospect, as he wasn’t a very efficient scorer in college, but if he were given free reign to fire away off the bench, it might be the perfect role for him.
