Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 5.0 pick No. 6

Forward. Scottie Barnes. player. 156. Scouting Report. Florida State / Cleveland Cavaliers. 6. Pick Analysis

I know some Cavaliers fans wouldn’t be happy with this move, but if the Cavs are going to keep Sexton, it makes sense and Barnes is a uniquely talented player.

He might be the most versatile all-around forward in the draft, as he can defend all over, has a massive wingspan, can create off the dribble, is a good passer and has all of the intangibles.

He could be the next Draymond Green of the league, a guy whose value is not necessarily in the box scores but who undoubtedly makes his team better.

The Cavs would have a long and dynamic defensive team with Barnes and Isaac Okoro roaming the perimeter, which would free up their guards to do their thing.

If the Cavs could then move on from Kevin Love, their rebuild would be nearly complete and they can start trying to win games.
