Detroit Pistons draft picks: NBA Draft prospect Marcus Bagley

If the Detroit Pistons were to use any of these picks, it is most likely to be this one, as there could still be some very talented players in this range.

Marcus Bagley represents a high-ceiling option who didn’t get much of a chance to show what he can do in college after missing most of the season with injury.

He only played 12 games at Arizona State University but the 6-foot-7 wing showed flashes that he can be an NBA talent. His brother Marvin is already in the league, and though the two are very different players, they both have the NBA genes.

There are two things I love about Bagley, the first is that he has a huge wingspan that should allow him to guard a couple of spots on the perimeter.

The second is that he shot a high volume from 3-point range (6 per game) and though he only hit 34.7 percent of them, he showed good form and profiles as a guy who will be able to knock them down in the NBA.

We know the Detroit Pistons need shooting, so Bagley is not only a raw and talented prospect, but one who could eventually fill a need.

His draft stock might be low because he missed so many games, but Bagley has first-round talent and you might as well take a risk on potential in the second round.
