Detroit Pistons: NBA Draft trade with the Washington Wizards

The Wizards are the type of team I think the Pistons should target to move up into the first round.

They already have a few young players, don’t really need the pick and need to add depth to their roster. Here is a trade that could help both teams:

The Wizards ability to do this would depend on how much cap space they can clear and what they plan on doing with their own guys, but this is a trade that gets some additional depth, they still get a draft pick in the second round in exchange for a first rounder that is outside the lottery.

I can definitely see the Pistons moving Doumbouya in a trade, as Troy Weaver didn’t draft him and he might be the odd man out anyway.

Josh Jackson would give the Wizards some additional depth and defense on the perimeter for a low cost, and he’s another guy who might be superfluous to the Pistons if they re-sign Hamidou Diallo.

The Pistons wouldn’t be giving up much to be honest, and it might take more than that to get a first-round pick in what should be a very deep NBA Draft.
