Detroit Pistons: NBA Draft trade with the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics were one of the most disappointing teams this season, as most felt they would at least be in the top-four of the East if not win the whole conference.

They had some injury issues and could use some more depth, and the Pistons need shooting, so there might be a match here.

Nesmith was a guy I really liked coming out of the draft last season, as he is a quality shooter with a long wingspan who could end up being a very good two-way shooting guard/wing.

He played sparingly for the Celtics last year, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to give up on him, so I have no idea if this package based around Jackson would interest them at all. Jackson is the better defender but isn’t much of a shooter, though the Celtics would also be picking up a second-round pick in this draft and a future protected first.

The Pistons would get a young shooter who would be a nice option off their bench and unlike the Celtics, they would have minutes for him right away to speed up his development.
