Detroit Pistons: NBA Draft trade with the Brooklyn Nets

The Nets came up just short after entering the playoffs as one of the favorites to win it all. They have a top-heavy roster that has no depth, which got exposed in the playoffs when they suffered a few injuries to their top guys.

This would give them another option at the top while giving the Pistons more assets and shooting.

In this trade, the Nets would get another reliable option who could carry the team at times and be the second banana if one of Harden, Irving or Durant get hurt again.

This would be doing Grant dirty, as he came to Detroit willingly to have a bigger role and this would be sending him right back to being the fourth option on a title contender, which is what he was in Denver.

The Pistons would get back one of the best shooters in the NBA, an exciting project center, and two first-round picks.

While I kinda/sorta/maybe can see this, I don’t think it’s enough for Grant, who wants to be a Piston and can help lead this franchise out of mediocrity. Harris is a nice player but there isn’t enough else there to move the needle, so I’d pass.
