The Hawks were the surprise team of the NBA this season, making it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals before being ousted by the champion Milwaukee Bucks.
They have a big decision to make on John Collins, as he will be one fo the biggest free agent names out there if the Hawks choose not to re-sign him or match some other team’s offer.
If they don’t, then Williams makes a ton of sense here as a high-ceiling wing with size who could eventually replace Collins’ scoring and rebounding.
Williams is still raw, especially as a shooter, but has plus size for the position and could round into a very good defender with his wingspan.
