Detroit Pistons: NBA Mock Draft 6.0 pick No. 7

Pick Analysis. 7. 41. Scouting Report. Guard. Baylor / Golden State Warriors. Davion Mitchell. player

I honestly can’t see the Warriors using this pick, as it is their best asset to use to make a trade.

Some have suggested that Jerami Grant could be in play for a package based around this pick, but I can’t see the Detroit Pistons moving on from their team leader, especially when he has one of the best contracts in the NBA.

But if the Warriors do use the pick, Davion Mitchell makes a ton of sense. For one, he is ready to play now and showed he can be a leader by winning the NCAA title.

He can shoot the 3-ball and is electric in transition, but more importantly, he can take on the tough defensive assignments on the perimeter as one of the best one-on-one defenders in the NBA Draft.

He would allow the Warriors to go small, put four shooters around Draymond Green and still have a very versatile defense. I think the Warriors could do a lot worse if this is how it turns out, but I wouldn’t rule out a trade.
