The Detroit Pistons have the number one pick in the NBA Draft and have been cagey about whether they will use it on Cade Cunningham.
Cunningham has big time superstar potential, so fans of the Detroit Pistons are understandably anxious as we wait for the draft to finally get here so the speculation can end.
I am one of them.
I’ve been a fan of the Detroit Pistons longer than most of you have been alive and the last decade has been the worst of it. We’ve suffered with mediocre teams, poor management and no direction and finally have some hope, so of course we are just waiting for it to get squashed.
So for those of us that are sweating it out today, I’ll give you some signs that Cade Cunningham is coming to Detroit so that you can breathe a little easier.
Detroit Pistons: Cade Cunningham had a great visit in Detroit
In an effort to sell Cade Cunningham on the culture of Detroit, he was invited to a Tigers’ game and spotted hanging out with coach Dwane Casey, as well as Pistons’ players Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart.
Cade said he was “very excited” to come to Detroit and he should be, as he has a chance to rebuild a great sports city and become an icon if he does.
While it’s not surprising that the Detroit Pistons had Cade Cunningham in for a visit, they really rolled out the red carpet and got everyone involved, something they did not do for any other player.
If the Pistons were really going in another direction, Jalen Green would have been spotted hanging out with the team too. He wasn’t.
Cade Cunningham is coming to Detroit.
