Prediction 2: The Detroit Pistons will trade Sekou Doumbouya

Ok, now we are getting a little closer to “bold” territory.

When you take a look at the Pistons’ roster and Sekou Doumbouya’s place on it, there is a possibility that Sekou will be the odd man out.

He is the last player on the roster that Troy Weaver didn’t draft or bring in himself, so Weaver may not have the investment in Doumbouya that he would in his own guys.

It’s not a given that Troy Weaver does not see Doumbouya as part of the team’s long-term future, but if there is a chance to use him a package to move into the first round in a very deep draft, I think he’ll at least consider it.

The back end of this first round should still have some very good players, guys who the Detroit Pistons might think have a higher ceiling than Doumbouya.

If that’s the case, and there is any kind of market for him, I could see Doumbouya being shipped out.
