Detroit Pistons NBA Draft grades: Pick No. 42- Isaiah Livers

After mistakenly thinking that the Pistons were trading for the 21st pick (an errant Woj bomb), we had to wait all the wait until the second round to see another name called for the Detroit Pistons.

I wrote about five shooters the Pistons could target in the second round and they drafted two of them in Livers and Luka Garza, so not a bad prediction if I do say so myself.

If Livers ends up making the roster, Pistons’ fans are going to love him, as he is out of the University of Michigan and has all of the attributes we love in that he is a gritty, defensive minded hustler who will leave it all on the floor.

But he can also knock down 3-point shots, hitting 43 percent of them in his final season at Michigan on five attempts per game, numbers that should translate to the NBA.

He fits the mold of what Troy Weaver is building, will be a fan favorite and has the potential to fill a need off the bench with his defense and shooting, so this looks like another strong pick for the Detroit Pistons.
