Cade Cunningham is finally a member of the Detroit Pistons. One of the most hyped prospects since LeBron James, Cunningham seems ready to put Detroit on his back and carry the Pistons to NBA glory. This is a bit of a stretch to say about a rookie, but I could see him staying in Detroit for his entire career if things go right.

Remember when Zach LaVine was visibly upset when he was drafted 13th overall in 2014 by the Timberwolves? Cade Cunningham was the total opposite. Between the Buffs, his appearances at Tiger games, and his seemingly unparalleled willingness to interact with fans and residents, it looks like Cade is here to stay.

With all that being said, what exactly is Detroit getting with Cunningham? One of the most hyped prospects, but also one of the better ones in recent memory.

Cade is the face of Detroit sports and is probably already the best athlete in America’s best sports town. It’s clear that he’s going to be a superstar, and he hasn’t even played a game yet.

The Pistons certainly have a future All-Star on the roster, and perhaps an NBA legend in the making. At least, he’ll be a Detroit legend for sure. But where does he rank among current NBA stars who have the same body type and style of play? Well, he’s going to be better.

There are three NBA All-Stars who stand out as being somewhat similar, and Cade enters the league with more promise and potential than any one of them. Cade Cunningham will outplay all of them and cement himself as the best out of all these guys, which is saying something considering there are 13 All-Star appearances between three superstars.
