If you are part of the illustrious group known as Pistons’ Twitter, then you know there is a new guy on the scene. Frank Garza, the father of Luka Garza is not only the biggest fan of one of the newest members of the Detroit Pistons, but also his biggest promoter.

He’s quickly become well-liked around the Twitter-verse for his enthusiastic promotion of his son’s skills and his interaction with all the Pistons’ Twitter illuminati who he tags in every post.

Luka Garza was taken near the end of the 2nd-round even though he was the college player of the year and really one of the best college players of the last two decades.

There are some questions about how this is going to translate to the NBA, as Garza has a high skill level but also some question marks about his overall athleticism and position.

The Pistons kick off Summer League today and Luka Garza will be part of the team, so his dad is trying to answer some of these questions before we’ve even seen him play for the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit Pistons: Can Luka Garza make an impact? His dad thinks so

Mr. Garza is on top of all of the criticism of his son and likes to re-tweet things that downplay these flaws.

Luka Garza does look like he’s slimmed down considerably, which would lessen some concerns about his quickness and whether he’ll be able to defend in the NBA.

But what Frank Garza is really known for is posting workout videos of his son, often from a multitude of angles.

Here’s one showing off Luka Garza’s range, which is impressive:

As you can see, Mr. Garza tags as many members of Pistons’ Twitter as possible and we are glad we made the cut (especially after I wrote an article telling the Detroit Pistons not to draft his son, sorry Frank!).

Mr. Garza’s enthusiasm and excitement about his son is infectious and he’s won Pistons’ fans over as a proud father who can’t stop talking about his son.

I, for one, love it and hope that Luka Garza makes the roster so that we can continue to interact with his father.
