Oklahoma City seems to check all the boxes for a team that might be willing to take on Sekou Doumbouya in exchange for a draft pick.
OKC is a team I thought Detroit should have targeted at the draft, but the Thunder are still on top of the list of teams that might trade for Doumbouya.
The Thunder would have to like Doumbouya’s upside more than they like the idea of a 2nd-round pick, as that is about all I can see him getting in a trade.
The Detroit Pistons would probably take it, as Weaver has been able to find talent in the second round, and has struck gold with two-way players in the past, so he probably thinks he can find a more impactful talent than Sekou Doumbouya.
Sekou’s time with the Pistons has been frustrating but it might soon be over if he is a roster casualty to the Hamidou Diallo signing.
