Detroit Pistons best rebounders #4- Cade Cunningham

When your rookie point guard who has yet to play a real game in the NBA is one of your top-5 rebounders, you know things in the NBA have changed.

It is also indicative of how bad the Pistons are in this category, although Cunningham projects as a plus rebounder for the position.

He averaged 6.2 per game in college and pulled down 5.6 per game in the Summer League, so hopefully he is one of the guys who can help bolster the Pistons, especially on the defensive end, where rebounds are the key to closing out possessions and getting fast breaks.

Cunningham could be a guy like Lonzo Ball, who gets a lot of rebounds and starts run outs with his elite passing.

Detroit Pistons best rebounders #3- Luka Garza

Again, the fact that a rookie on a two-way contract makes this list shows you how grim it really is.

Garza was a  very good rebounder in college, averaging 8.7 per game in his final season and he also pulled down 9.6 per game in the Summer League.

Garza may not even start the season with the Detroit Pistons, but if he does make the rotation, he’ll be one of their better rebounders, as he has the I.Q. and the motor.

The question is whether he is athletic enough to get to them, but Garza will put in the effort, which is the biggest part of being a successful rebounder in the NBA.
