Detroit Pistons: Killian Hayes is working with John Beilein

John Beilien is another guy who was specifically hired because of his body of work developing young players.

He is currently the Senior Player Development Advisor for the Detroit Pistons and has so far spent a lot of time with second-year point guard Killian Hayes.

Regardless of what you think of his time as a head coach in Cleveland, Beilein is a guy who has a long history of getting the most out of young players, especially when it comes to shooting.

Hayes has all of the athletic ability to be a star in the NBA, but so far his shot has lagged behind his defense and passing, which is something he’ll be working on as the season goes on.

I expect him to get a lot of one-on-one instruction from Beilein, who can hopefully work on his flaws and build Killian’s confidence in his shot.

The Detroit Pistons have assembled an amazing staff of basketball minds and brought in some high profile mentors who will hopefully help their young players get the most out of training camp before the regular season starts.
