Detroit Pistons: Expect some growing pains for Cade Cunningham

If there is one thing we know about rookie point guards it’s that they are going to have some bad nights.

I am certain that Cade will have some growing pains and have nights with ugly stat lines that include a lot of bad turnovers.

As he and Killian Hayes try to get comfortable together there are going to be nights when they look out of sync. Both had troubles turning the ball over last season and I expect there will be nights when they have 10 turnovers between them.

All rookies have bad nights but it is even more obvious when it happens to point guards, as they have the ball in their hands a lot and are expected to make reads that are more complex and much faster than they were in college.

Cade Cunningham does have some weaknesses, but he is also a superstar in the making who is going to have some monster nights that will make you forget all about the bad ones.
