The Detroit Pistons are on a mini-vacation, with four days between games before the schedule gets brutal in November.

It’s been a rough start for the Pistons, who have shot the ball like a team from 2004, and their defense (which has been top-10 in points allowed) has not been able to save them.

The next stretch of six games will see the Pistons taking on the elite of the 2021 NBA Draft, and they’ll have a chance to get a win or two against other young teams before the schedule really takes off and get difficult.

Here are some changes we’d like to see after the Detroit Pistons have had four days to reset and prepare for the upcoming stretch of games.

Detroit Pistons: Play Saben Lee over Cory Joseph

Lee put up eye-popping numbers in his G-League debut, grabbing the attention of his teammates and coaches in the process.

With the Pistons’ bench struggling to score consistently, Lee might be able to offer the change-of-pace and dribble penetration that Joseph is not currently providing.

Joseph is fine at running the offense, but he is not a great shooter or dynamic playmaker, so why not throw Lee in there to see what he can do as an “instant offense” guy off the bench?

The offense can’t get much worse at this point and the Detroit Pistons are already in a fairly deep hole after a 1-8 start, so it might already be time to lean into development and get their young guys as much run together as possible.

Who knows, maybe Lee will add a stark that can get this team going.
