Detroit Pistons vs. Golden State Warriors: Odds, predictions and best bets
The Detroit Pistons will take on the Golden State Warriors tonight at Little Caesar’s Arena, looking for their second win in a row.
It may be early in the season, but this is one of the biggest games for Detroit in years, as they look to win back fans and build excitement behind rookie Cade Cunningham.
The Pistons are coming off a win at home against the Pacers in which they came back and closed things out in the 4th quarter behind strong play from Cunningham, who is quickly becoming known for his clutch DNA.
The Warriors played last night on the road vs. Cleveland, getting a win to push their record to an NBA-best 13-2 for the season.
This isn’t going to be an easy one for the Detroit Pistons, but a win would be confidence inspiring and could change the outlook for the season.
Here are the odds, predictions and some bets for daily fantasy.
Detroit Pistons vs. Golden State Warriors: Odds, spread and over/under
According to WynnBET, the Detroit Pistons are nine point underdogs at home vs. the Golden State Warriors, even though Golden State is on the second game of a back-to-back.
The money lines are set at +270 for the Pistons and -340 for the Warriors, so obviously the books think the Warriors are going to roll in this one.
The over/under is 211.5, and a bet I’ve been staying away from, as the Pistons have been historically bad shooting the ball and you never know which team is going to show up, though it’s been the brick laying one more often than not.
The Pistons still don’t average 100 points per game, and the Warriors are on a back-to-back and might be missing Stephen Curry, so I’d take the under on this one if I was going to bet it.
Detroit Pistons vs. Golden State Warriors: Predictions and best fantasy bets
This one may come down to the health of MVP-frontrunner Stephen Curry, who has been unbelievable this season, but is listed as day-to-day and will be a game-time decision.
The Warriors may view this as the perfect time to get their superstar some rest, so it’s possible the first Cade vs. Curry matchup will be delayed.
Saddiq Bey has been playing well of late, but has a tough matchup against Andrew Wiggins. I really like Isaiah Stewart in this one, as he has a favorable matchup against Kevon Looney and could rack up some big rebounding numbers. James Wiseman is still out with injury, so Beef Stew should have a big game.
I also like Cade Cunningham to fill the stat sheet, especially if the Pistons can get him the ball in the post, where he should have an advantage. I’d like to see Cade keep driving to the rim as he did in the 4th quarter of the last game, as he draws in the defense and can get his own shot or set up teammates.
I like how Cade seems to step up in the moment and I think the rookie will do it tonight, so if you play daily fantasy, Cunningham and Stewart are good plays.
