The Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder will both enter tonight’s game on eight-game losing streaks looking to get a win.

These are two teams in a race for the number one pick again, and with similar talent levels, age and remaining schedules, it might come down to the final week of the season unless one of them turns things around.

Tonight will be a battle of Cade Cunningham vs. Josh Giddey, two promising rookie point guards who look like future stars in the league.

Some of the Detroit Pistons have been struggling mightily lately and the team is still mired in a season-long shooting funk that it can’t seem to shake, which has some fans calling for some changes in the Pistons starting lineup.

Will the Pistons starting lineup be changed vs. Thunder?

Many fans have been calling for Saddiq Bey (whose shot has been awful) to be sent to the bench in favor of Hamidou Diallo, who also can’t shoot but has been bringing defense and energy.

You’ll have to continue to wait, as Diallo is listed as out for this one with a facial injury, so don’t expect any changes to the Pistons starting lineup tonight, as no one on the bench has been any better than Saddiq Bey.

Bey just looks like he is pressing at the moment and needs to have the confidence to just let it fly regardless of the result. A little too much may have been put on him this season but I expect him to iron it out soon and am not worried overall.

Pistons vs. Thunder: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are four point favorites at home against the Thunder. To my recollection, this is the first game of the season in which the Pistons have been favorites. Considering they are at home, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is out, it makes sense.

The money lines are set at -190 for the Pistons and +170 for the Thunder, so the Pistons are expected to win this one and break their eight-game slide into oblivion.

The over/under is 206, which seems about right given these two teams’ lack of shooting and offensive firepower right now. The Pistons are currently the worst 3-point shooting team in the league and the Thunder aren’t much better, as the 29th ranked team.

The Pistons and Thunder have the 29th and 30th ranked offenses, respectively, so don’t expect a ton of points in this one.

Pistons vs. Thunder: Best fantasy bets

I expect Cade Cunningham to show out in this one after several days off and relishing the challenge of facing Josh Giddey. Giddey has missed a couple of games with illness but is expected to play tonight. Cade will be keen to show he is the best rookie and I think he’ll have a huge game tonight at home.

Jerami Grant has been playing well of late and the Thunder don’t really have a defender who can handle him, so look for him to have a big night scoring as well.

If you are looking for a low-cost play, Isaiah Stewart has been putting up double doubles fairly regularly and is going against a team that doesn’t have a  real big, so look for him to have a big night on the boards.
