The Detroit Pistons are coming off their first win in over a month and would love to make it two in a row vs. the New York Knicks, who have been struggling.

The Pistons were expected to be bad, so it is no surprise that they are in the cellar of the Eastern Conference, but not many expected the Knicks to be there with them.

The Knicks (13-17) have dropped to 12th in the East and have only won twice in their last 10 games, though to be fair, their schedule has been difficult.

The Pistons have been playing without leading scorer Jerami Grant and the results have been mixed, as they’ve been playing a more up-tempo style of basketball on offense but have faltered on the defensive end.

Cade Cunningham only shot four times in the last game, so it is surprising that the Pistons got a “W” against the Heat, but Cade showed there are ways to win games without scoring.

It will be a tough matchup for the Detroit Pistons on the road against a desperate Knicks team that may decide to blow it up if things don’t turn around.

Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are 10.5 point underdogs on the road vs. the Knicks.

The money lines are set at +375 for the Pistons and -500 for the Knicks, so the books definitely don’t think Detroit is going to start a winning streak.

The over/under is 208 which seems low considering the Pistons and Knicks are the 22nd and 23rd ranked defenses, respectively.

However, the two teams also average 205.9 points combined, so their offenses are even worse.

It’s hard to pick the Detroit Pistons to win a game on the road, but those odds are pretty tasty for a longshot bet coupled with the over.

The smart bet would be to take the points, hope the Pistons stay close and that they can continue to score a few more points with Jerami Grant out.

Pistons vs. Knicks: Best daily fantasy bets

With Grant out with injury, expect Cade Cunningham to continue to put up big numbers even if he doesn’t score a much. The Heat double-teamed him and tried to take Cade out of the offense, but he was able to stay calm and find open teammates the whole game.

He has 21 assists in his last two games and his 26.1 usage rate leads all rookies, so expect Cade to have the ball in his hands and be a threat for a triple double. I really like his matchups with the Knicks’ guards.

With Derrick Rose a game-time decision and Immanuel Quickly likely out with COVID, the Pistons could get a big game out of Frank Jackson, who is a nice low-cost play these days and could step up in the Garden.

Saddiq Bey is finally out of his slump and has put up three big games in a row, so expect him to keep it going against the Knicks.
