The Detroit Pistons were already the worst team in the NBA before most of their roster went into health and safety protocols, so things are not looking great at the moment.

I jokingly said that that I was expecting my phone to start ringing soon, but I am starting to think it’s not a joke, as the Pistons will be running some guys out there who most have never heard of before.

Are we sure  Trayvon Palmer and Justin Robinson aren’t generic players someone created on NBA2K?

The “NBA” is starting to look like a rec league at the YMCA, and I am sure fans are happy they are shelling out huge money to watch G-League backups because the league refuses to postpone a game (unless it helps a big-market contender of course). The Pistons aren’t such a team, so Joe Blow and the YMCA All-Stars will be taking the court tonight in Detroit.

If you are going to the game, wear a jersey with your name taped on the back and bring some shoes and you might be the starting point guard.

Given that Detroit barely has a team, I was sort of baffled by the spread for this one against the Knicks, who are pretty much at full strength.

Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks: Odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Detroit Pistons are just 5.5 underdogs at home vs. the Knicks, who will be on the second game of a back-to-back.

I’m not sure the books looked at the rosters though, as the Pistons just lost by 14 to the Knicks a week ago and that was when they had all of their guys in the lineup. I don’t see how the Knicks don’t cover this and it might be the easiest bet of the season.

There are no money lines for this game yet (probably because no one thinks Detroit has any chance of winning) but the over/under is set at 205.5 combined points.

I think taking the Knicks with the points and the over might be the easiest money of the season, as the Pistons just let up 144 points to the Spurs, so it probably won’t even matter if they only score 80 points themselves.

How to watch

The Motor City Cruise, er, um , I mean, the Detroit Pistons, will tip off at 7:00 PM ET and you can watch it on Bally Sports Detroit or listen on 97.1 FM the Ticket.
