Detroit Pistons/Dallas Mavericks trade for Jerami Grant

Here is a trade that works financially and may interest both teams:

In this trade, the Mavericks get a more versatile player in Grant, who is a better all-around player than Hardaway and is even shooting better this season.

The Pistons get a veteran in Hardaway, a high-ceiling prospect in Josh Green, who is a long shooting guard/wing who projects as a plus defender and a distant first-round pick.

The Mavs would probably balk at including both Green and the pick, but with so many teams interested in Grant, it is probably going to take a slight overpay to pry him away.

The Pistons would get most of what they want, though Hardaway Jr. comes with his own set of problems and distant draft picks are even more of a crapshoot, as you never know how good or bad Dallas will be in three years.

I think Dallas would definitely consider this, as neither player is helping them much now and they want to win with Doncic sooner rather than later.

But what about the Detroit Pistons? Is this a good package for Jerami Grant?
