Let’s hear from Laker Nation

A little more reasonable trade came from Laker Nation. They assume Troy Weaver is not delusional, so they add a couple more goodies to the mix. Nunn and Talen Horton-Tucker are the only players not making the minimum who could be moved (do NOT even bring up Russell Westbrook), so they have to be in pretty much any deal.

Also, keep in mind, the earliest first-round pick the Lakers can trade is from 2027.

My analysis: Better, but still would not move my needle to ‘trade’.  The first-rounder will be a late one as the Lakers never rebuild. Monk has played well lately, but he did not play well enough last year for the Charlotte Hornets to make a big offer to retain him.

Three ‘nice’ players and a first-rounder in five years won’t do it.

P.S.: Lakers Nation’s Trevor Lane hosts a great Youtube show with Keith Smith that covers the whole NBA, not just the Lakers. Must listen to keep abreast of things.
