3 teams that might want to trade for a Detroit Pistons’ veteran

New Orleans Pelicans

Even though the Pels are currently out of the playoff/play-in picture, many think they will be buyers at the trade deadline and could definitely use some veterans who can shoot.

I could see them having interest in both Kelly Olynyk and Cory Joseph, as the Pels need shooting off their bench and both guys could provide it.

Olynyk is a nice fit with Zion Williamson (if he ever returns) and they have the young players and expiring contracts to make a deal. Satoransky and Nickeil Alexander-Walker would give the Pistons future cap space and a young player with high upside.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs need depth on the wing and Josh Jackson could be a nice fit for them. Jackson can’t shoot but the Mavs could use his defense, especially when they try to go small against some of the West’s top teams.

With Porzingis in and out of the lineup with injuries, the Mavericks might also have some interest in Trey Lyles as insurance.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz were reportedly interested in Jerami Grant, but those rumors have cooled.

However, with Joe Ingles out for the season, the Jazz could use some depth at forward and Trey Lyles would seem to be a perfect replacement.

The Jazz are struggling with depth about everywhere right now, as 6th man Jordan Clarkson is also out, so they might be interested in Cory Joseph as well.

The Jazz are still 4th in the West but have been playing poorly with all of the injuries and could use some depth before they drop any further.
