Positives from the Pistons drubbing by the Mavericks

There weren’t a whole lot of positives from a game in which Detroit scored 86 points and was down by 37 at one point.

Isaiah Stewart recorded double-digit rebounds for the 6th game in a row and has been one of the bright spots for the Pistons during this current losing streak.

Beef Stew has quietly been anchoring the defense, scoring more and grabbing a ton of rebounds lately. He’s had a very solid second season even though his offensive game hasn’t evolved much.

Hamidou Diallo finished with 18 points, though they came inefficiently. He has averaged double digits as a starter this season, and gives the Pistons an element of athleticism and defensive energy that they often lack.

There wasn’t much to get excited about in this game, but the Pistons have seemingly found some of the pieces good teams need, which are guys on low-cost contracts who are contributing.

Now they just need the rest.
