The Detroit Pistons will try to slow their descent into the abyss tonight at home vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Pistons have lost five in a row and 9-of-10 overall, sliding to the worst record in the NBA. The Grizzlies are going in the other direction, winning three in a row with the 3rd-best record in the NBA overall.

The Grizzlies should give the Pistons some hope that a team can be turned around quickly around the right draft pick and role players, and hopefully Detroit has already found some of those pieces.

The big question is whether Cade Cunningham will play, as Detroit has been awful without him, scoring well under 100 points per game since he went out with a hip pointer.

What initially looked like a minor injury has now kept Cunningham out for four games, and if you look at the odds, the sports books are betting it is going to be more.

Detroit Pistons vs. Memphis Grizzlies: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are 10 point underdogs at home against the Grizzlies. I actually thought that was pretty low considering Memphis beat Detroit by 30 the last time they played and that was with Cade Cunningham.

Ten points is probably the middle ground between him playing and not, and I think there will be a lot of action on Memphis to cover.

The money lines are set at +450 for Detroit and -600 for Memphis, so you can get a decent payoff if you think the Pistons can win this and want to make a long shot (and highly unlikely) bet.

The over/under is 224, the lion’s share of which will need to come from Memphis, as Detroit has failed to score 100 points in two of their last three games and didn’t even get to 90 against the Mavericks.

I can’t recommend betting on the Pistons, but the under looks good in this one and if you are into betting on the other team (I can’t do it) Memphis looks pretty solid for a blowout win in this one, as they are rolling.

As for daily fantasy, the only Piston I really like right now is Frank Jackson. He is up and down but comes cheap and has the potential to go off for 25 points.

Isaiah Stewart has also been putting up big numbers, recording double-digit rebounds in the last six games. He’s been quietly improving as the season goes on and is becoming more valuable in fantasy.

Pistons’ injuries

According to the official NBA Injury Report, Cade Cunningham is listed as questionable (hip pointer), Killian Hayes is probable (left Tibia soreness), Josh Jackson is questionable (back) and Isaiah Livers is still out (foot).
